MISBEGOTTEN is the brain-child of Caesar Voghan, who initially wrote a screenplay with the same title. At the suggestion of a few producer friends, he partnered with Casey Bailey and decided to adapt the original screenplay for the comic book medium. The first issue was released on Kindle and became a bestseller in several Kindle categories. Eventually, Voghan signed a creator-owned publishing contract with Action Lab Entertainment who serialized MISBEGOTTEN through Danger Zone!, Action Lab’s imprint for mature audiences. The first four issues were released in 2018. The contract was terminated in 2022, when Action Lab withdrew Danger Zone due to post-pandemic restructuring. Currently, Voghan and Bailey are preparing the entire 12 issues miniseries for its much delayed relaunch.
